A tribute to everything that breaks is een interdisciplinaire psycho-dystopische solo performance die de erotisering van geweld confronteert, geïnspireerd op de wereld van neo-noir anime. Door middel van het gestileerde lichaam en popculturele onschuld onderzoekt Yoko Haveman hyperseksualisering, macht en isolatie aan de hand van de beladen begrippen Lolicon en Hikikomori. Het lichaam beweegt zich tussen subjectieve lelijkheid, verleiding en verzet en weigert gefetisjeerd of tot slachtoffer gemaakt te worden, om in plaats daarvan naar voren te treden als autonome kracht.

A tribute to everything that breaks is an interdisciplinary psycho-dystopian solo performance that confronts the eroticization of violence, inspired by the world of neo-noir anime. Drawing on hyper-stylized bodies and pop-cultural innocence, Yoko Haveman examines hyper-sexualization, power, and isolation through the charged notions of Lolicon and Hikikomori. Moving between subjective ugliness, seduction, and resistance, the body refuses to be fetishized or victimized, emerging instead as an autonomous force.
